“Artistic perspective that is fresh, unique, and full of soul. Anything she makes is FULL OF SOUL. She has a fucking badass work ethic and discernment around what she wants to be creating and putting your energy into.”

About Ali
Born and raised in Minneapolis, Ali was brought up at the intersection of the outdoors and urban life. Her pull to adventure and the outdoors brought her to Colorado College where she was perpetually out of her comfort zone in the best ways. Fluency in French led to projects in Madagascar and French Polynesia during that time, followed by a move to New Zealand in 2009, filled with challenge and wonder.
After New Zealand and subsequently traveling the world, she honed her craft as a storyteller by making short films and taking photographs that captured the human experience in rich detail. She was ahead of the curve, at the forefront of the content revolution and realized that so many people sought meaningful content. She had combined her love of adventure with her deep connection to storytelling to start her company, Prana Lens in 2014
Today, Ali combines insight from 15 years of content creation, collaborations with some of the worlds biggest names, and her deep passion for shedding light on the human experience to create, advise, and consult through Prana Lens.
Ali’s work is awe inspiring. She has a way of expanding ideas and capturing those little moments that illustrate your message. I will work filming projects around her availability. Camera work can be tiring and vulnerable for the subject. She has a way of making the uncomfortable permissible and really brings to life story, humanity, and the richness of life experiences.

Prana is a Sanskrit word:
pra represents “continuous” and na means “movement.”
It's also known as breath and "life force" energy.
What does Prana Lens mean?
I also know it as the spirit that animates each of our lives and the world around us. It’s the drive in the athlete. The inspiration in the entrepreneur or artist.
My work has always revolved around capturing that movement and spirit -- in people, nature, events, adventures, brands....
